Jail Burned Down

The jail burned down around him and he walked away
He left the judge and jury with nothing to say
Yes siree Bob, it was a clear cut act of God
And the jail burned down him and he walked away

Now the DA, was sure he pled his case
Till he was staring straight into the face of fate
There ain't much you can do, when the force is not with you
And your staring straight into the face of fate

Anything can happen, on any particular day
One day we'll all sing hallelujah
When the jail burns down around us and we walk away

A blind man with a tin cup saw it all
He felt the heat and moved away from the wall
Threw his hands up high and he sang "I saw the light"
And the jail burned down around him and he watched it fall

Anything can happen, on any particular day
One day we'll all sing hallelujah
When the jail burns down around us and we walk away
